The HKDSE Information and Communication Technology exam has two parts: a compulsory part that every candidate sits, and an elective part where candidates answer two of three options. These pages work through both, one topic at a time.

Compulsory part

Five topics every HKDSE ICT candidate is examined on—Paper 1, 55% of the subject mark.

Elective part

Choose two of Databases, Web Application Development and Algorithm and Programming—Paper 2, 25% of the subject mark.
