About Anson
I'm a Computer Engineering student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a graduate of Ying Wa College. Most of what I bring to tutoring comes from having sat the exam at the top mark, then spending the years since on the other side of it—writing and reviewing exam-style questions, and running a mock exam for hundreds of students. Ying Wa College
Invited by the subject teacher to co-develop and teach Python and basic programming to his own ICT class while still a student, and served as Vice Chairman of the IT and Computer Society, revitalising the club and lecturing a beginner Python course.

2024 HKDSE
5** in Information and Communication Technology (territory-wide top 1%) and 5* in English (top 5%), with the highest mark in his cohort on all three ICT mock-exam papers.

Private tutoring
Started tutoring HKDSE ICT privately, later adding secondary-school English.

Hong Kong ICT in Education Focus Group
Founder and content creator, formerly TechGrade.ICT—coordinated multiple ICT 5** graduates to design and publish a free online HKDSE ICT mock exam with over 200 participants.
Nov 2024 – Apr 2025
Hong Kong Academy of Information and Communication Technology
Assessment & Executive Committee Member—developed and reviewed mock-exam questions for alignment with HKDSE standards, evaluated student responses, and coordinated quality control for the organisation’s activities.

Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Psychological and Behavioral Science, expected 2029.

Stack Undarflow
Support Session Tutor for HKU’s largest engineering undergraduate community, offering programming assignment assistance including Python.
Jun 2026 – Present
HKUST Department of Computer Science and Engineering
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UGTA) for an unreleased course on AI-assisted software engineering under Prof. Kenneth Wai Ting Leung’s teaching team, offered the role as a freshman. The course hasn’t launched publicly, so its syllabus and materials stay confidential—the work itself has involved preparing teaching material, designing lab exercises and assessment questions, and building code and repository examples, under the professor’s direction.
